If Femme Fatale is our every day drinking darker ale, then Bombshell is the yin to her yang. And, you know, gentlemen prefer blondes... I think I've gotten the clichés out of my system.
Bombshell isn't always a blonde ale, though. Sometimes she's a Hefeweizen, sometimes a Kölsch, occasionally a Pilsener. This beer is always light, low alcohol, has a restrained bitterness from Saaz and Nelson Sauvin hops, and pairs well with seafood and cheesecake. We sometimes refer to it as a "conversion beer".
That highlights another aspect about my approach to brewing: for me, each beer is an expression of an experience. Beer style is only one aspect of that experience. Beers, like people, are alive and adaptable to what circumstances demand.
